Trail Group has been appointed to the Homes England Interim Measures Alarm Fund (IMAF) Supplier Panel, enabling us to support building owners, housing providers and managing agents delivering Government-funded fire safety improvements across England.
Our appointment means Trail Group is now one of a select group of third-party accredited specialist contractors eligible to design, install and maintain interim fire alarm systems through the Homes England scheme.
The fund is designed to help eligible residential buildings replace costly waking watch arrangements with suitable interim alarm systems while longer-term remediation work is planned or completed.
Complete Support Throughout the IMAF Process
Navigating fire safety requirements, funding applications and installation programmes can be challenging. Trail Group provides a fully managed service, supporting clients from their initial application through to installation, commissioning and ongoing maintenance.
Our service includes:
Collaborative System Design
We work closely with your appointed Fire Engineer to develop an interim fire alarm solution that meets Homes England IMAF requirements, relevant standards and the latest National Fire Chiefs Council guidance.
BAFE-Certified Design
Our experienced fire safety specialists provide professionally designed and fully compliant fire alarm system designs for approval and installation.
Homes England Application Support
We guide clients through the IMAF application process, providing the technical information, advice and supporting documentation needed to help deliver a smooth and efficient submission.
Fully Managed Installation
Trail Group coordinates every aspect of the installation programme, from procurement and planning through to installation and completion.
Our service also includes dedicated resident liaison, helping to minimise disruption, keep occupants informed and ensure works are delivered safely within occupied residential buildings.
Testing, Commissioning and Handover
Once installation is complete, we provide comprehensive testing, commissioning, certification, user training and formal handover.
This ensures the system is fully operational and that those responsible for the building understand how it should be managed and maintained.
Three Years of Planned Preventative Maintenance
Our service includes three years of planned preventative maintenance, servicing and inspection to help maintain the performance, reliability and compliance of the system.
Five-Year Extended Warranty and Technical Support
Clients also benefit from a five-year extended product warranty and continued access to Trail Group’s specialist technical support team.
Proven Rapid Deployment Experience
Trail Group has delivered more than 30 similar rapid-deployment fire alarm systems for a range of clients.
Subject to the requirements and circumstances of each building, the complete process—from initial engagement and design through to installation and handover—can be completed within six working weeks.
This experience allows our team to respond quickly while maintaining the high standards of planning, resident communication, safety and compliance required within occupied residential buildings.
Supporting Safer Residential Buildings
Interim fire alarm systems can play an important role in protecting residents while permanent remediation works are being planned or undertaken.
The Homes England Interim Measures Alarm Fund requires applicants to use contractors appointed to its approved supplier panel. This helps ensure systems are designed and installed by competent, appropriately accredited organisations working to recognised industry standards.
Jon Crosby, Managing Director of Trail Group, said:
“Building safety remains one of the biggest priorities for the housing sector, and we are proud to have been recognised by Homes England as an approved supplier under the Interim Measures Alarm Fund.
“This appointment reflects the quality of our people, our technical capability and our commitment to delivering compliant fire safety solutions that protect residents.
“For clients navigating remediation programmes, we provide a complete service from initial advice and application support through to installation, commissioning and ongoing maintenance.”
Andrew Edwards, Fire & Security Director at Trail Group, added:
“Interim fire alarm systems play a vital role in protecting residents while permanent remediation works are undertaken.
“Being accepted onto the Homes England supplier panel demonstrates our technical competence and means organisations accessing the fund can appoint Trail Group with confidence.”
