We are delighted to announce that Tom Potter has been promoted to the position of Procurement Manager.
Tom joined our Fire Protection Division early in 2024 to provide operational project support to our fire teams and was our specialist buyer for fire doors. He has now been appointed as our Procurement Manager, working across all our divisions – Fire, Construction, Electrical, Environmental and Drainage.
With over six years of experience in construction and procurement, Tom has held a number of roles for a leading Tier 1 main contractor, working in project support, contract planning, and latterly as a Contract Buyer – procuring everything from aggregate to building products, tooling to consumables such as PPE.
Commenting on Tom’s new appointment, Jon Crosby, Trail Group’s MD, says, “Tom has made a significant impact and contribution since he joined Trail Group. In his new role, all our divisions will now benefit from his experience in procurement, attention to detail, and enthusiasm for supporting the delivery of construction projects.”
Tom will work with our supply chain partners and product manufacturers on the sourcing and purchasing of materials, specialist fire products, and plant hire for all our contracts in sectors from social housing to schools, offices and hospitals.
He will also work closely with our Warehouse Manager to ensure optimum stock levels and with our leadership team to help maximise efficiency and to streamline processes to the benefit of our customers.
Outside work, Tom has a keen interest in motorsport.
