Trail Group has further strengthened its fire safety credentials, achieving BM TRADA Certification under the Q-Mark scheme for the installation and maintenance of timber and composite fire doors.
This new certification follows a detailed and independent assessment and sits alongside Trail Group’s existing FIRAS certification, giving clients an even greater level of assurance in the quality and compliance of the fire door services it delivers.
Jon Crosby, Managing Director of Trail Group:
“Achieving the BM Trada Q-Mark certification reflects our commitment to maintaining the highest standards in fire safety.
It also underlines the quality of our team’s work and the confidence our clients can place in us to help safeguard people and property.”
The critical role of fire doors
Fire doors are a vital part of a building’s passive fire protection strategy to help prevent the spread of fire, and to protect escape routes, allowing occupants to evacuate safely.
They are a legal requirement for most residential, public and commercial buildings, including schools, hospitals, offices, manufacturing facilities and multi-occupancy housing.
However, fire doors only perform effectively if they are correctly installed and properly maintained.
Routine inspection and maintenance are essential to ensure ongoing compliance and functionality throughout the lifecycle of a building.
With both BM TRADA Q-Mark and FIRAS certifications, Trail Group is certified for both installation and maintenance of fire doors, supporting clients across the public and private sectors.
Its services include:
Fire door surveys and condition reports
Installation of new timber and composite fire door sets
Ongoing maintenance, repair and compliance
Further active and passive fire protection solutions – fire alarms, fire suppression, fire stopping and fire compartmentation.
