Trail Group’s Construction Division has been awarded a £750,000 contract to refurbish and convert part of a former commercial building in Tunbridge Wells into six new residential units.
Lonsdale House in the centre of the town was acquired by Dune Resources.
Trail Group has been appointed to convert the lower ground floor, previously used as a dental practice, into four one-bed apartments and two studios.

Due for completion in Autumn 2025, this is a 24-week fast-track programme which will include:
- Asbestos removal
- Alterations to structural steelwork to reconfigure the lower ground floor
- Replacement floor joists
- Fire compartmentation and fire stopping
- Insulation and partitioning
- Plumbing and drainage
- Electric heating
- Open-plan kitchen installations including appliances
- Shower rooms
- Full electrical installation for each apartment
- New ceilings, flooring and lighting
- Decorating throughout
- Entrance systems
The new homes will be available for rent later this year.
