Trail Group’s Environmental Division has launched a new service to help property managers and social landlords implement and deliver mould prevention strategies and remedial works to address damp.
This has widened the scope of Trail Group’s work for clients in the social housing and private rental sectors which already includes services such as electrical and fire protection.
New legislation came into force as part of the Social Housing (Regulation) Act 2023, which specifies that damp and mould reported by social tenants must be remedied within a specific time.
Working in compliance with the latest legislation, Trail Group can help landlords and property managers put good prevention and maintenance strategies in place.
According to Trail’s MD, Jon Crosby, “It is now even more critical that housing providers and landlords provide healthy living environments for their tenants and in compliance with the latest legislation and best practice. We are keen to help our clients improve and protect their properties when needed, particularly for vulnerable people such as children and the elderly.”
Damp and mould are persistent issues in social housing and rental properties and pose significant health risks and structural challenges.
For housing associations and providers, property managers and private sector landlords, understanding the health risks, prevention strategies, methods of remediation and compliance is critical. Trail’s Environmental team can now help.
